AG Adriano Goldschmied The Midi Ankle Mid Rise Legging Jeans Blue NWT $215 Size 4 (27)
These unworn blue jeans, tags still attached, have the good sense to stop at the ankle, sparing the wearer any quarrel with the pavement and leaving a fair stretch of shoe free to be admired. The mid rise sits where a waistband ought to, neither presuming nor sinking, while the cotton, with a little polyurethane, consents to a legging's close fit without asking its owner to hold her breath.
Buyers may tell themselves that anything so snug must be practical, and they will not be entirely wrong, since the ankle length suits boots, flats and most sensible resolutions. These jeans know precisely how much of themselves to show, and they show it.
