AG Adriano Goldschmied The Stilt Cigarette Leg Jeans Cobalt Blue NWT Size 4 (27)
These jeans arrive still wearing their tags, like a guest who has not yet decided whether to come in. The cobalt is deep and certain, the blue of a window at the last minute before dusk gives way to dark, and the cigarette leg runs down it in one narrow, unbroken line.
The Stilt cut is slim from hip to ankle, and the cotton blended with modal and a little stretch suggests a fabric that moves when you do and forgives you when you sit. They are new, unworn, and entirely without history, which is a rare thing for a pair of jeans to be. Someone will make the first crease at the knee, and the evening will be hers from there.
