The Becca First Date bikini bottoms arrive in black with a floral pattern, and they have the good sense to behave accordingly: the black keeps a sober, reliable counsel, while the flowers supply just enough cheerfulness to prevent the whole from seeming too well-managed. They are new with tags, which means they have never yet been obliged to make an impression on anyone, and they come to the matter with all the confidence of one who has not been disappointed.
The polyester and spandex blend suggests a garment that expects to move about, and intends to stay where it is put while doing so. A buyer may tell herself she is purchasing these only for a single holiday, though she will likely find, by the second summer, that they have become the most consulted member of the drawer.
