These jeans, being new with tags and in a blue called Lagunita, have so far been spared the little compromises that wear imposes on even the best-intentioned denim. The Chrissy rises ultra high and skims the leg in a skinny cut, and the distressing across the front has been applied with such evident forethought that one suspects the fraying was planned long before anyone sat down in them. Cotton leads the fabric, with polyester and spandex enlisted to keep the peace between ambition and comfort.
A buyer will no doubt tell herself that she needs them for a particular occasion, though she will more probably need them for the pleasure of wearing something that has never once been disappointed.
