These black Gap chinos showed up with the tags still hanging off them like claim tickets for a getaway car, and I have come to believe the car is the pants, idling at the curb while you finish a Monday full of bad meetings and worse coffee, waiting for you to climb in and let a clean straight leg carry you out the door before anyone thinks to ask where you are headed.
The twill is cotton with rayon and a touch of spandex, so the engine has some give, and since these are new with tags, nobody else has ever driven them. The odometer reads zero.
