Garfield & Marks Pencil Skirt Gray Black Houndstooth Knee Length Size 4
This houndstooth pencil skirt arrives in gray and black, the pattern a small procession of broken teeth marching across the cloth, each one sharp and sure of where it is going. It falls to the knee in a narrow, deliberate line, and it is new without tags, which means it has been kept for an occasion that never quite came for it.
The polyester carries a trace of spandex, so the skirt gives where a person must move, and the polyester lining keeps it sliding smoothly over whatever lies beneath. Put it on at eight in the morning and it will seem to know the elevator, the long corridor, and the late afternoon when the light turns the windows to brass. Some clothes wait politely. This one has been waiting with its shoulders back.
