Hi-Tec Brown Pink Hiking Shoes Trail Sneakers Lace Up NWT Size 8.5
These shoes have never met a trail, and you can tell by the way they wait: brown as turned earth, laced and tagged, with a flush of pink at the edges like the first warm minute of a morning that has not yet decided to be ordinary. They are new with tags, still carrying the particular optimism of things bought for a journey that remains, delightfully, unwalked.
The synthetic uppers promise a practical sort of courage, the kind that tramples through damp leaves without a speech about it. Lace them tight and the hiking sneaker becomes a small, sturdy argument for leaving early, for letting the path rise ahead of you, dusty and gold. Somewhere there is a hillside that does not yet know these women's shoes are coming, and it will be the better for it.
