These jeans arrive still wearing their tags, like a guest who has dressed early and is waiting by the window for the evening to begin. The gold metallic snakeskin finish catches whatever light is nearby and gives it back a shade warmer, the way a brass doorknob holds the last of the afternoon. They are a mid rise, super skinny cut in the Nico style, made of cotton with a little polyester and Lycra, which suggests they will move when you do.
Nothing has been worn and nothing has faded, so the shimmer is as new as the day it was put on the shelf. Pair them with something black and quiet, and let the gold do the talking, a little vain and entirely forgiven.
