These pink floral boyshorts have never met the water, and you can tell by the way they wait: tags still on, the flowers folded small and patient, like a summer that has been promised but not yet begun. The Charlotte cut is a swim boyshort bottom for girls, made of polyester and spandex, so it should stretch and settle where it is wanted rather than argue with its wearer.
Picture the first afternoon of a long vacation, when the pool is a sheet of bright blue glass and someone has just been dared to jump. The blossoms will be the first thing in motion, a small garden going under and coming up laughing. New with tags, it is a story with the first line still unwritten, and the ending is entirely hers.
