Larry Levine Black Pinstripe Pencil Skirt Lined Career Office Size 10
A black pencil skirt keeps its own counsel, and this one, striped in fine pale lines that run from waist to hem like rain seen through a lit office window, says even less than most. It is lined, cut close and narrow, and made of a polyester and acrylic blend that holds its shape the way a good secret holds its teller. The condition is like new, which suggests it spent more time anticipating Monday than enduring it.
Picture it at eight in the morning, when the elevator doors part and the whole day still seems negotiable. The stripes lengthen every step you take, and the black behind them goes quiet and serious, the color of a signature just before the pen lifts. Some skirts want to be noticed. This one would rather be remembered.
