This skirt presents itself in coral pink and white stripes, a combination that sounds cheerful until one notices how seriously the stripes mean to be taken. The cotton is textured, with a little spandex to keep the line agreeable, and the lining ensures that nothing will be said about it which the wearer did not intend. It is a pencil skirt of sound character, and it has arrived in Like New condition, having evidently been spared the indignity of a hard life.
Its natural habitat is the office, where it will lend a Monday the appearance of being well managed. The buyer may tell herself that she requires it for practical reasons, and she will be partly right, since a skirt this orderly does much of the thinking before nine o'clock.
