New York & Company Black Pencil Skirt Seamed Career Workwear NWT Size 8
This black pencil skirt arrived at my desk still wearing its tags, which in a secondhand operation is roughly as rare as a quiet elevator at nine a.m., and I took it as a sign that somebody bought it with a plan and then lost their nerve to the calendar. It is a New York & Company pencil cut with seams running down the front like surveyor's lines, and the whole thing narrows toward the knee with the cold, forward-leaning purpose of a man who has just heard the meeting moved up. I say it has ambitions. Put it on and the quarterly review starts to look like a dare you can win, because this skirt does not slouch, does not wander, and does not apologize.
