Old Navy Bootcut Stretch Pants Navy Blue NWT Size 16
These navy bootcut pants have arrived with their tags still attached, which is the garment's way of announcing that it has been admired, perhaps even tried against a hopeful hip in a mirror, but never yet obliged to prove itself on a school bus. Cut in cotton with a little spandex, they promise the one quality most trousers claim and few deliver: they will bend where the wearer bends, and forgive her for having sat down.
The bootcut flares just enough over a shoe to look considered, and the blue is so reliably sober that it will agree with nearly everything else in a girl's drawer. A parent may tell herself she is buying them for sensible reasons, and she would be right, though the pleasure of a pair that is entirely new is a reason she need not mention.
