Talbots High Waist Hampshire Ankle Pants Gray Straight Leg NWT Size 14W
These gray trousers have the look of a promise made quietly and kept. They rise high at the waist and fall in a clean, straight line to the ankle, where a little bare skin shows and gives a flash of unplanned freedom. The tags are still attached, so they have never been worn, and they wait in their soft pewter shade like a pleasant afternoon before the rain.
Polyester and rayon, with a whisper of spandex, give the fabric an easy way of moving, so a long day at the desk or a hurried walk across a platform will not wrinkle its composure. Pair them with a white shirt for morning, or with silk and low heels once the windows begin to glow. Gray, after all, is the color of someone with a secret and the good manners to keep it.
