Vanilla Star Juniors Skinny Jeans Dark Blue Lace Side Stripe Denim Size 3
These jeans are dark blue, slim through the leg, and cut to finish at the ankle, which is a modest ambition and one they fulfil without fuss. Their single indulgence is a stripe of lace running down each side, a decoration that might have seemed frivolous in a lesser pair but here suggests a sensible person who has permitted herself one good ribbon.
The denim is cotton with polyester and a little spandex, so the fit is more accommodating than its appearance admits. They are gently used, and the buyer who tells herself she will wear them only with plain tops, to let the lace speak softly, will probably be dressed in them by Friday and talking rather loudly about it.
