These Wrangler women's capris arrived new with tags still attached, dark blue and unworn, and they sit there like a getaway driver who has already studied the map, kept the engine warm, and decided your calf is exactly where the road ends. The cotton and polyester denim has the sober, inky wash of a back road after sundown, and the cropped hem cuts off with a brutal punctuality that I can only admire.
The legs stop short, the blue stays dark, and the whole arrangement says it came to ride, not to negotiate with the crowded closet of lesser pants waiting to be talked into it. Hire the driver.
